On Sunday I was in Polish house here in Wellington, watching Quo Vadis (2001). I read the book by Sienkiewicz a few years ago and I really liked it. It has a powerful touching story. When Adam (teacher of zouk) texted me if I want to come, I said yes :-) It was a nice afternoon spent with some people from dance classes and many retirees.
There is strong community of Polish people. It was established in 1948 after the Second World War, when Polish children arrived to New Zealand. Today, after three generations, most of all the members are retirees, but they grandchildrens still keep it alive and oganize some social events.
