Hobbits, dwarfs and other strange creatures are everywhere :-) As the premiere of Hobbit (November 28, 2012; by Peter Jackson) is slowly approaching, it is more and more obvious that New Zealand is really the Middle Earth and people are living it.

Mayor Celia Wade-Brown says the city (Wellington) will actually call itself “The Middle of Middle-earth” during the week of the premiere, a change that will be evident on postmarked letters and even the masthead of the city’s main newspaper.
