Last few days in Wellington

I am moving to Hamilton on Saturday evening. Last few days in Wellington. I will miss it, the people here, but true is that I am looking forward to work. The holiday was nice, but too long :-) Today I sold the bed, table and drawers remaining - hope to sell them even for a half price, better than nothing.

On Sunday we were on a trip to Rimutaka Forest Park on Butcher Track - now I understand why it is called "butcher" - it was steep track up to the top of the hills. But the lovely view was a nice reward :-) Then we went for another smaller track (also a bit steep) and then to the beach and for an icecream. Nice afternoon! I was so tired when we returned back to Wellington that I went immediately to the bed and slept for two hours.

The week before we went to Kaitoke Park, where the part of LOTR - Rivendell - was filmed. There was nothing familiar from the film! Just some trees and that was it. With high imagination and help of displayed posters you can tell that there was the house of Elrond etc..
