Mikulas

There is Mikulas today in Czech Republic. As I am not there I wish all the best to my family and friends. I hope that you have been good and that you will get some presents, not just coal :-)

There are no indications that men celebrate Mikulas in NZ. I know just about one event - Czech and Slovak club in Wellington organize Mikulas afternoon for children on Sunday. But at the same time is also salsa party and I will go probably there.


Otherwise, there is pretty ugly weather today - heavy rain, strong wind. I planned to go for a walk and then go to the city and apply for one job. But I think that I will stay the whole day at home, practising typing and writing cover letters. Also watch some TV; I started to watch TV here after almost seven years without television in Prague, 'cause it forces me to practise English, listening. So, now I know Simpsons, Futurama, some Discovery channels, Amazing race and others :-) (not that I spend watching TV all day, I got it as a backdrop).
